In Loving Memory
Raffaella Angilletta (Salvati) of Toronto passed away peacefully on 27 September, 2019 at the age of 87. Born and raised in Malito, Cosenza Italy on 15 November 1931 to Ernesto and Erminia (Polito). Younger sister of Emilio [Maria] predeceased in 2015. Older sister and best friend of Pierina Mancini [Mario] who she always spoke of with love and pride. Treasured Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

On 1 July 1961 she married Damiano and devoted her heart and life to him for the next 58 years always putting him first before all others. Together they had three children, Caterina Timpano [Daniele], Erminia Angilletta-Pisecny [Louis] and Bruno. Raffaella was extremely proud of and loved by her 7 grandchildren, Louis, Jesse, Cristofaro, Jennifer Rose, Matteo, Raffaella, and Emily who will always hold a piece of her close to their hearts.

Raffaella’s greatest passion was cooking and always made enough food for anyone who happened to visit. She could be found in the kitchen most days with the radio playing, making gnocchi for her grandchildren, or sitting in her chair watching the Blue Jays or Leafs game with her husband. Holidays were especially important to her as she loved spending time with her family. She was a cherished Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend to all who knew her.

A special thanks to St. Elizabeth PSWs Wendy, Corrine, Natale and the fun loving Naz. We will be forever grateful for their kindness and attention to her needs. And to Dr. Bruno Angilletta for the additional care and advice and to his wife Mara, children Luca, Stefano and Simona for the love and support they showed her. We can never thank them enough.

So, the next time we sit and have a plate of pasta or drink a glass of homemade vino we will raise our glass to you, Raffaella and know we were truly blessed to have had you be in our lives and will love you forever.

Donations can be made to the Cancer or Lung Associations.
