"John Conrad Aderhold was the first child of Frederick William Aderholdm born in Dillenburg, western Germany to his parents Friedrich Wilhelm Aderhold and his wife, Anna Catharina (a mistake in the church book: this should be Maria Johannette, full name Maria Elisabeth Johanette...Catharina was her sister) got a child, Johann Conrad, born 1 May, during the night at 3 o'clock, baptized 3 May. Godparents: Johann Conrad Becker, the legitimate son of Dietrich Becker, who was a tailor in the castle. Anna Maria Isheim from Berghausen, and Anna Catharina Isheim, her sister."
Both John Conrad Aderhold and his little brother, John George Aderhold (born 11/2/1772) accompanied their parents from Germany to Pennsylvania, America, circa 1774. John Conrad was about five years old when the family emigrated from Germany to York Town, Pennsylvania, and about eleven years old when they made their final move to Lincoln County, North Carolina. He was about 20 years old when he married his wife ELIZABETH DUKE who had been born in Maryland. The family made various moves thereafter as their family grew. Their first relocation was to Pendleton District/Anderson Co., South Carolina circa 1789 where he was listed as a taylor and farmer. Eight more children were born during their sojourn there. In 1810 he purchased land across the Georgia state line on the Hudson River in Franklin County, Georgia. They lived there the rest of his life. In the early 1820's he swerved as Judge of the Inferior Court of Franklin County. John Conrad's move to Georgia influenced his brother John George, to move as well.
