Leona Maxine Arnold, 74, of Hedrick, died at 8 p.m. January 2, 2020 at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney.
She was born April 4, 1945 in Ottumwa to Hobert and Helen Blodgett Bodkins. She married Darrell Arnold on August 5, 1994 and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2012.
Leona was a 1963 graduate of Keota High School and earned an AA from Indian Hills Community College in 1993. She worked for many restaurants including Star Dust Restaurant and had worked for Silver Hawk Security at Excel and had been office manager at Shaw Federal Insurance.
Surviving are her children, Lisa Reynolds of Colorado, William (Jacquie) Lankford of California and Terry Lankford (Amanda McQuaid) of Missouri; many grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Nancy (Jerry) Lankford of Richland and Wanda (Rich) Perkins of Wapello; a brother, William "Bill" (Stephanie) Bodkins of Wellington, CO; and long time special friend, Bob Cohee of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Oren Miller; 3 brothers, James, Robert and Kenneth Bodkins.
Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bodkins officiating. The family will be present one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to her sister, Nancy Lankford.
