BASILE, LOUISIANA
In loving memory of Faye (Raggio) Langley who sadly passed away on December 30, 2019 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side at the age of 79. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, January 03, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile.
Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Keenan Brown Celebrant.
Faye was a homemaker who devoted herself to her home and family. She was a wonderful baker (Miss Betty Crocker) who loved to work in her yard, laugh and joke. She was very outgoing, loved people and never met a stranger. Faye was a dedicated mother and treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She was a kind and loving soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her especially her daughter, JoJuanna Sonnier and Tony Johnson of Chataignier; daughter-in-law, Denise S. Sonnier of Basile; the joys of her life her four grandchildren, Corie Sonnier, Christopher “Beedo” Sonnier, Cadie S. Hundley and husband, Jack and Kenny Miller; two great grandchildren, Lakeyn and John Haydyn Sonnier and one on the way; her sister, Gwen Aguillard of Basile; godchild, Tanya Colligan Arabie; as well as extended family and friends. We will miss her every day.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John "Chip" Langley; her son, John Gregory "Book-T" Sonnier, parents, John and Lillian (Fruge) Raggio; brother, John Glenn Raggio; sister, Jacqueline (Raggio) Colligan and baby brother, John Ray Raggio.
Carrying Faye to her final resting place is Corrie Sonnier, Beedo Sonnier, Glenn Raggio, Kenny Miller, Gil Arabie and Jack Hundley; honorary pallbearers, Tommy Thibodeaux, Mark Sonnier, Chris Davis, Evan Johnson and Brently Young.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Thursday, January 2nd from 12 noon until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, January 3rd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Chuck Ortego will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Thursday.
