Nora Werchan Boehm Ezzell, 93, of Taylor, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at a local hospital. Family visitation 6 to 7 PM, Thursday at Providence Funeral Home of Taylor.
Celebration of Life services will be Friday, June 8, at St. John's Lutheran Church of Thrall with Rev. Walter Miller and Rev. John Koeker officiating. Burial to follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
Nora was born May 4, 1906 to Paul and Emma (Meyer) Werchan in the Hoxie Community. She lived in Bell and Milam Counties, most of her married life. Nora married Herbert Max Boehm on May 23, 1929. He preceded her in death in May 1937. Nora remarried on April 13, 1941 to Lloyd Ezzell. She assisted her husband as bookkeeper during the ginning season. Lloyd preceded her in death in January 1991. Nora was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Thrall.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacquelyn Pick and husband, Adolph of Taylor; two sons, William H. Ezzell and wife, Lorraine of Crystal Beach, TX and Raymond Ezzell and wife, Dorothy of Perryton, TX; sisters-in-law, Edna Werchan of Taylor and Emelia Werchan of Round Rock; ten grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Randall Pick, Bobby Pick, Donald Pick, Celo Moreno, Michael Ezzell, Dennis Ezzell, David Ezzell, and Darrel Ezzell.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Thrall or Hope Lutheran Church of Buckholts.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Providence Funeral Home of Taylor.
