Rosina (Welder) Doll was born on September 7, 1921 to Anton and Rosina (Feist) Welder. She grew up on her parent’s farm southwest of Napoleon, ND and received her education at Schell Butte School in Logan County.
Rose married Wendelin Doll on November 13, 1945 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Rose and Wendelin farmed 14 miles southeast of Napoleon in Hills Township for 18 years. They moved to Napoleon in 1967 where Rose started working at the Napoleon Care Center. She worked as an aide, housekeeper, laundry department, and a cook and also help residents with medication. Rose lived across the street from the Napoleon Care Center so it was easy for her to get to work and hardly ever missed a day of work. In 1994 she retired after 27 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed sending time with family, baking kuchen, sewing, crocheting, quilting baby blankets and embroidering way over 100 sets of dishtowels in her lifetime. She was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church and Alter Society.
Rose died on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND. She was 98 years old.
Rose is survived by three sons and two daughters, George W. (Lynda) Doll, Anton W. Doll, Rose M. Geffre (friend Ron Kerzman), Sally Dick, Clarence (Cindy) Doll; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Anton Piatz, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wendelin; daughter Angeline Gerving; granddaughter Samantha Dick; two son-in-law’s Gary Dick and Joseph Gerving; daughter-in-law Cynthia Doll; two sisters, Agatha Piatz and Theresia Doll; two brothers Mike Welder and George Welder; and half-brothers and half-sisters.
