William Howard Vanpool, 75, lake Ozark, died Wednesday Aug 18 at Unversity of Missouri Health Sciences Center in Columbia. He was born Aug 22, 1906 at Enon, a son of William P and Sarah M Short Vanpool. On March 6, 1956 he was married at Las Vegas to Sarah J. Moore who survives at the home.
Other survivors include five sons, Logan E. Vanpool, Twin Falls, ID, Jack D Young and Chris Vanpool both of Wichita, KS., James R. Young of Sedalia and William D. Vanpool, Camdenton; a daughter Mrs Dianne Odgen, Wichita, KS and two sisters, Mrs Virginia Stubinger, Russellville, and Mrs Crystal Bowlin, Kansas City; and 14 great grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 pm Saturday at Gateway Church near Eldon with the Rev. Russell Hyatt officiating. Burial was in Enloe Cemetery under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
