Logan Earl VanPool, 69, of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Twin Falls, passed away May 27, 2001 at the Veterans Regional Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. He was born July 4, 1931 in St. Louis, MO, the son of William Howard and Ruby Ree Atkinson Van Pool.


Logan enjoyed collecting pewter coins and was enthralled with military history. He served as a career Navy Diver retiring after 16 dedicated years, with a medical discharge. During his time of service, he served during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.


Logan was also active in the VFW, American Legion and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 12th Ward in Twin Falls.


He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Loraine of Albuquerque, NM; son, Todd (Christine) VanPool of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Jacquelin Whitten of Idaho Falls, Andrea Ray VanPool of Vermont; along with one grandchild.


Logan will be missed by all who knew and loved him.


Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the Twin Falls 12th Ward LDS Church 824 Caswell Ave. West, Twin Falls, ID. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
