Rusty passed away peacefully on December 22, 2019 after a long battle with COPD. Rusty was born on September 1, 1925 as the sixth of 11 children to Ruby Grace (Scott) and Grover Cleveland Fountain Sr. Rusty was married five times. Rusty and her last husband were married for 16 1/2 years. They spent twelve winters in Yuma, Arizona for the winter before spending her remaining years near their families in the Spokane Valley. Rusty and her husband were also members of the VFW #3433 in the Spokane Valley. Rusty leaves behind her husband, her beloved dog Mandy, two sons, one daughter, four stepchildren, three stepchildren-in-laws, two sister-in-laws, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews. Rusty was predeceased in death by her parents and all of her siblings, her son: Frank Nelson, son-in-law: Jay Simpson, step-grandson: Ryan Sannes, brother-in-laws: William Ashbaugh (Darlene McEntire), LeRoy Baxter, John (Shirley "Jeanne") Ashbaugh, Ned Campbell, and Stan Kaiser.
