SUICIDE WITH SHOTGUN
DAVID GREGG, 53, ENDS LIFE AT CREIGHTON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
About 5 p.m. Wednesday, David Gregg, 53, went to the back porch of his home in Creighton and blew off the top of his head with a shotgun. Mr. Gregg lived there with his 87-year-old mother, Mrs. Nan Gregg-Peterson, who is just beginning to get around on crutches after having broken her hip some months ago. Mrs. Gregg told Dr. Ed Griffith, coroner, that her son had been despondent. He had informed his mother he was going hunting when he went out the door with his gun.
In addition to his mother, Mr Gregg is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Kinnison of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Ella Miller of Grandview and Mrs Myrtle Morris of LaCygne, KS. Funeral services will be held Friday in Creighton.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD FRIDAY FOR MRS. L. KINNISON'S BROTHER
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Christian Church in Creighton for David Gregg, 53, of that city, whose death was recounted in last week's Times. Burial was in the Gregg Cemetery near Creighton. Mr. Gregg is survived by his mother, Mrs. Nancy A. Peterson, and three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Kinnison of Pleasant Hill, Mrs Etta Miller of Grandview and Mrs Myrtle Morris of LaCrgne KS. Mrs. Peterson is now making her home here with Mrs. Kinnison.

(Note: Some of the family maintained David's death was accidental. His mother was bedfast, but somehow managed to get out of bed and crawl to a telephone to call a neighbor for help when she heard the shot. His mother died soon after David's death.)
