Funeral service for Jack C. Wood, age 46, Gadsden Route 3, who died yesterday at a local hospital after an illness of several months will be held 2 p.m. Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel. Burial Forrest Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Jewel Spraggins Wood; son, Cliff Wood; mother, Mrs. Naomi Vick; brothers, Roy L. Wood and Rev. Adrion Wood; half-brother, Rev. Robert J. Vick; half-sister, Mrs. Roy B. Murray; step-brother, R.E. Vick and one grandchild. Mr. Wood was a native of Blount County and a resident of Etowah County for 25 years. He worked in the Engineering Department of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for 18 years. He was a member of the board of deacons of Macedonia Baptist Church; Dwight Masonic Lodge 550 F&AM and Alabama City Chapter 345 OES and United Rubbers Workers. Masonic Lodge 550 F &AM will have graveside rites.
