Bernease Vick Murray, 94, of Oneonta, AL passed away at Golden Living Center on September 7, 2015. She was a lifelong Democrat, Blount County Jailer and a member of Rosa United Methodist Church since 1935. She was a retired Switchboard Operator at Blount Memorial Hospital.
She is preceded in death by parents, Rufus and Naoma Ridgeway Vick; husband, Roy Murray, Sr.; daughter, Malinda Murray; sister, Lilas Walker; and brothers, Roy Wood, Adrian Wood, Jack Wood, Richard E. Vick and Robert Vick.
Mrs. Murray is survived by son, Ben Murray (Trish) of Olney, MD; grandsons, Benjamin Murrary (Egbertus Tempelhoff) of Olney, MD and Daniel Murray (Erin) of Abilene, TX; great grandchildren, Abigail Murray, Rylan Murray and Grayson Murray Tempelhoff; and sister-in-law, Octavia Vick of Rainsville.
Bro. Jerry Gargus and Dr. Edwary Murray will officiate funeral services on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11AM from the Rosa United Methodist Church with burial following at Dailey's Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Murray will lie in state at Lemley Funeral Home on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 6PM until 8PM.
