He is survived by his wife Sally (nee Warden) Squires of Festus; daughters Belinda (Steve) Cornish of Crystal City, Missouri, and Barbara (Paul) Smith of Festus; son Dean (Michelle Rhyneer) Squires of Valles Mines, Missouri; sisters Jeanne Lorey of Potosi, Missouri, and Roseanne Callahan of California; brother David (Yoshiko) Squires of Azusa, California; grandchildren Amanda Cornish, Lauren (Jordan) Peery, Kayla (Anthony) Ortolan, and Christina Smith; and great-grandchildren Deston Pippin, Justus Smith, Aiden Ortolan and Aubree Ortolan.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Joyce Hurley; brothers Ronald Squires, Bobby Squires, Kenny Squires, Alan Squires, and Donald Squires.
He was a UAW member and retired auto worker from the Chrysler assembly plant in Fenton, Missouri; and a long time member and usher at Second Baptist Church in Festus.
Visitation from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Visitation Monday, December 23, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of funeral services at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Jim Waymire, pastor of Second Baptist Church. Interment in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City, Missouri. Memorials in his memory are preferred to Second Baptist Church
