Allen Michael Squires, age 72 of Bolivar, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2019 at his home.

He was born in St. Louis, MO on Wednesday, June 19, 1946, son of the late Joseph Franklin Squires and Edna May Robinson Squires, moving to the Bolivar area around 1973. He was a cook at Western Mental Health Institute, retiring after 33 years of employment and enjoyed collecting coins, guns and knives. He served his country in the US Army from 1964-67 during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include his spouse, Bobbie Ann Squires of Bolivar; two sons, Michael Squires of Kansas City, MO and John Squires of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Roseann Callahan of Los Angeles, CA and Jeannie Lorey of Festus, MO; two brothers, Richard Squires of Festus, MO and David Squires of Los Angeles, CA; 2 step children, Terry Parker (Shirley) of Middleton and Teresa Coates (Michael) of Bartlett; 7 step grandchildren, Heather Wynne, Logan and Ethan Parker, Braden, Charlie, Lily and Lauren Coates; and three great grandchildren, Tyler and Waylon Parker and Addison Wynne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Eagle; and three brothers, Kenneth, Ronnie and Donald Squires.
