Tom “Big”, “Pop”, “Peepaw” Chizmar gained his angel wings Friday, December 13, 2019, at 6:11 a.m. at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Illinois.

Tom was born January 7, 1950 to Aloysius and Annie Gavura Chizmar in Girard, Illinois.

He was a 1968 Graduate of Girard High School. He was retired from Freeman II Coal Mine -Virden and Dominion Energy-Kincaid. He is predeceased by his wife of 44 years, LaVonne.

Survived by family to cherish his life are his daughter, Renee Robison, (Stuttgart, AR), son, Tom Chizmar, and wife Missy of Virden; grandsons-Zachary Borchert and wife, Shannon (Stuttgart, AR); Thomas Chizmar(Virden) and one great-grandson, Gavin Borchert and best friend, Connie Molohon (Raymond).

A celebration of life will be at a later date under direction of Bramley’s Funeral Home of Divernon, Illinois.
