Mrs. Pearl Bowie Morgan, 70, of 200 West Prentiss Avenue, widow of William M. Morgan, died Wednesday at 9;30 p.m. in a local hospital following several years of declining health.
Mrs. Morgan was a native of Abbeville County, a daughter of the late Jacob and Essie Loner Bowie. She had made her home in Greenville for 40 years; moving here from Atlanta.
She was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Anna Jake Morgan of Greenville; one son, William Louis Morgan of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Kay of Pelzer and Mrs. Maude McKinney of Greenwood; one brother, Ben Bowie of Greenville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at The Mackey Mortuary by Dr. John A. Haley. Burial will be in the Williamston Cemetery.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
