Gabriel R. Chavez, 87, of El Paso died Monday (May 1, 1989). Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today in Futrell Funeral home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amalia. Survivors include his daughters Alicia Rey, Lettie Armendariz and Barbara Cruz; and his sons, Gabriel Chavez Jr., David Chavez, Orlando Chavez and Norman Chavez.
