Edwin L. 'Eddie' Miller
Edwin L. 'Eddie' Miller, 69 Effingham, died, April 9, 1990, at a St. Joseph, Mo., hospital.
Mr. Miller retired in April, 1984 from Midwest Grains in Atchison. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born March 11, 1921, near Exeter, Neb., the son of Henry and Bertha Dreier Miller. Mr. Miller was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Effingham. He was a member of the Fleming-Jackson-Sever Post No. 6 of the American Legion in Atchison and a former member of the Effingham city council.
He was married to Margaret Schrick April 3, 1946, in Effingham. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mary Craig, Effingham, and Ann Hunt, Las Vegas, Nev.; four sons, Joe Miller, Wichita, John Miller, Bedford, Texas, Charles Miller, Muscotah, and Rick Miller, St. Joseph, Mo.; four sisters, Ruth Schrader, Palmer, Neb., Fern Leshechka North Platte, Neb., and Ruby Stevens and Veda Lloyd, both of National City, Calif.; two brothers, Henry Miller, Hastings, Neb., and Boyd Miller, McCool Junction, Neb.; and 11 grandchildren.
Christian burial rites were April 11 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Effingham. Burial was in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Effingham. Mass of Christian burial was April 16 at the church.
