Chester Abbott died at 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 1971, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 37, a native of Jasper, Ala., and a resident of Walker. He was a member of Millwright Local 720.

Body at Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home, Denham Springs, with visiting until 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Religious service at the Pentacostal Tabernacle, Highway 190 East, at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Revs. H. M. Stafford, Gerald Arceneaux and Charles Robinson. Burial at Vicker's Cemetery, Walker.

Survived by his wife, Wanda L. Abbott, Walker; his mother, Azalee Abbott, Walker; two daughters, Kathy and Jo Ann Abbott, both of Walker; three sons, Randy, Rusty and Terry Abbott, all of Walker; two sisters, Mrs. Jeniva Alveraz and Mrs. Marie Watts; and eight brothers, James, Lester, Donald, J. L., Willard, Willie, Otis, and Walter Abbott.

Pallbearers will be nephews of deceased.
