Mrs. Agatha Gubala; Native of Poland Mrs. Agatha (Matlowski) Gubala, of 128 North Catherine street, died Saturday at 3:55 p.m. in Locust Mountain Hospital where she had been a patient since Jan. 6. A native of Poland, she settled in this area in 1913 after migrating to this country. She was a devout member of St. Casimir's Church and active in various societies of the parish, including the Holy Rosary and Sacred Heart Societies and the Third Order of St. Francis. She was also a member of the Union of Polish Women, Group 27, and the Polish Veterans Auxiliary to Post 77. Surviving are her husband Albert, at home; five sons and three daughters: Alex Matlowski, at home; Stanley, well known grocer, Frackville; Leon, Kearny, N.J.; Charles, of Farmingdale, N.Y., and Edward Gubala, of Harrisburg; Mrs. Helen Dombrowski, Shenandoah; Mrs. Leona Zalis, Mahanoy City; Hedwig, wife of Ronald Hunter, Naples, Fla. She also leaves two sisters Mrs. Mary Ann Ofiarowicz, in Poland, and Jadwiga, in Russia; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday 8:30 a.m. from the Henry A. Walukiewicz Funeral Parlors, 132-34 South Jardin street. Solemn Mass of Requiem will be celebrated 9 a.m. in St. Casimir's Church.
