Robert Charles Atkinson, 87, of Stephens, AR passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 in Little Rock, AR.
Robert was born on February 25, 1932 in El Dorado, AR to the late Gus and Clara Atkinson. He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a general contractor building homes with Willie Cottrell and enjoyed watching sports.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Jean Atkinson and Madeline Atkinson; grandson John Beebe; and four sisters, Juanita Smith, Mitt Enloe, Ann Shriver, and Ruby Andrews. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Atkinson of Stephens, AR; son Randy Atkinson and wife Vicki of Hot Springs, AR; granddaughters, Ashley Solomon and husband Richie of Fayetteville, AR and Amber Spencer and husband John of Fayetteville, AR; great granddaughters, Katelyn Solomon and Winnie Spencer both of Fayetteville, AR; great grandson Cy Spencer of Fayetteville, AR; great-great granddaughter Willow Solomon of Fayetteville, AR; brother-in-law, Roy Miller and wife Sandra of Stephens, AR; nephews, Kevin Miller and wife Jennifer of Stephens, AR, Brandon Miller and Colton Miller both of Arkadelphia, AR; nieces, Taylor Miller of Stephens, AR and Sherry May of Baton Rouge, LA.
