Delores “Dee” Alward, 84, of Monrovia, IN, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2019. She was born in Owen County to the late Emmett Shumaker and Mary (Finchum) Shumaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a twin brother, Forest Shumaker.
She married Connie Lee Alward on November 5, 1955. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years; two sons; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville with visitation from 11 AM until the services at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow the services in New Providence Cemetery, Greencastle.
