She married Harold E. Daily on April 20, 1948, in Ellis. He died Nov. 29, 2002.
She graduated from Ellis High School in 1946. She was a professional China painter who taught and inspired her students with her love of china painting. She and Harold will be remembered for their many contributions to the Ellis community. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Ellis, and the China Painters Club.
Survivors include five daughters, Karla Whitmore, Burlington, Colo., Debbie Holman, Arkansas City, Peggy Daily, Ellis, Lorelee Hayden, Hutchinson, and Marla Homburg, Hays; two sisters, Betty Herl, Ellis, and Judy Smith, Chapman; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Wasinger Funeral Chapel, Ellis, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the organization of the donor's choice.
