Esperance (Schoharie County): Lucille G. Palmer 88, formerly of Esperance died Wednesday, November 20th at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown after a long illness.

Mrs. Palmer was born May 21, 1931 in Duanesburg, a daughter of Richard and Claudine (Lamb) Tidball. She was married to Walter H. Palmer from 1947 until his death in 1997. She enjoyed sewing, reading and travelling. Lucille is survived by her children; John (Vicki), of Fultonville, James (Jane) of Carlisle, Barbara (Craig) Ingalls of Poland, Luanne (James) Mancheffer of Central Bridge and Alton (Carole) of Howes Cave, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 daughters in law; Janice and Kris and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons; Walter and Harold and siblings; Robert, Lawrence, Joseph, Hazel, Clifford, Ernest and Doug.

A private graveside service will be held at the Sloansville Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sloansville Valley Cemetery Association, C/O Ruth Kulesa, 417 Sanitarium Rd., Esperance, NY 12066.
