Darlene Malan Patterson, 82, passed away Monday, April 30, 2007 at Logan Regional Hospital.
She was born April 28, 1925 in Ogden, Utah to Alton and Martha Clarke Malan. She grew up in Ogden and also lived in the bay area of California, Hyrum, Utah and West Point, Utah.

On June 10, 1942, Darlene married Rex E. Patterson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2000.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Primary, Relief Society and as a visiting teacher.

Darlene loved spending time and reminiscing with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a fantastic memory with respect to her family.

She enjoyed painting, ceramics, collecting antiques and beanie babies.

Darlene is survived by her children, five sons, Gary (Georgia) Patterson, Centerville; Rex (Pat) Patterson, Lake Tahoe, CA; Ron (Chris) Patterson, West Point; Rick (Lisa) Patterson, Reno, NV; Randy (Midge) Patterson, Hyrum; two daughters, Judy (Mike) Henry, Hooper; Vickie (Mike) Romero, Newark, CA; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Dean (Donnet) Malan, Eden; Jerry (Pat) Malan, Mt. Green; and one sister, Launa (Jimmy) Lewis, Eden.

Including her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Brent Patterson.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 4th at 1:00 p.m. at the West Point Cemetery, 40 North 4000 West.

Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
