A resident of New Roads, she died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999. She was 91. Her two sons, Paul Cary Aguillard and Lloyd J. Aguillard Jr. and their wives, were at home with her. A native of New Roads, she was one of five children of Mederic and Lodoliska Guillame DeCuir. Preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Lloyd J. Aguillard Sr. of Chenal, who died at home on Sept. 23, 1999. She will be remembered for her kindness and loving concern shown daily to family, friends andneighbors. She delighted in the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and through her example showed them how to love selflessly. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd Jr. and Carolyn Mattingly Aguillard of Covington and Paul Cary and Kay Broussard Aguillard of Metairie; a sister, Lena Guerin of New Roads; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her brothers, Ludovic and Oscar DeCuir; and a sister, Marie DeCuir Samson. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Interment in False River Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Lloyd III, David, Daniel, Clay, Cary Jr. and Stephen.
