DEATH OF TWO SONORA GIRLS
Influenza was the indirect cause of the death of two Sonora born and reared girls this week - Mrs Margaret Pagan, formerly Miss Rita Moorshead, and Miss Annetta Brusie. The former died at the home of her mother in Oakland. Both deaths occurred the same day - last Sunday.
Mrs Pagan, niece of Mrs Wm Hartvig of Sonora, although absent for a number of years, kept in close touch with her childhood friends and the news of her death was a severe shock to them. Here was a sunny disposition and she was greatly beloved by all who knew her. An attack of influenza rapidly developed into pneumonia and the violent fever closed her eyes in death. She was 24 years of age. A husband, mother and two sisters mourn her passing. The remains were brought to Sonora and interred in the Odd Fellows cemetery in the family plot after their arrival on Tuesday evening's train.

WEDDING LAST EVENING
Choosing their new home for their wedding, Miss Margaret Moorshead, daughter of Mrs Richard Moorshead of Oakland, and Mr J Lawrence Pagen, were married last evening in the pretty house prepared for them in Berkeley. The decorations were of pink and white roses and chrysanthemums and Rev Father Woodman of Newman Hall was the officiating clergyman. The bride wore a dainty costume of white satin and tulle, and a long tulle veil. Her sister, Mrs N J Pickle was matron of honor in rose pink taffeta. Mr Roland Pagen was his brother's best man. After a wedding supper the bride and groom departed on their honeymoon, which will be spent in Carmel.
