Obituary
Kathryn Russell Simpson, 86, of Sequim, WA, passed away at her home Monday, May 8, 2017. She was born in Akron, Ohio, to Levi and Martha Ida Russell on September 17, 1930.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings, of which she was the baby and her first husband Tillious Seals, the father of her children. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne F. Simpson, whom she married on her birthday in 1977 in Metairie, Louisiana. She is also survived by daughters, Sandra Patterson of Sequim, Carol Hunt (Al) of Corsicana, Texas, and Monica Chisholm of Magnolia, Texas; one son, Garland Seals of Huntsville, Texas; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and Lady, her toy Manchester terrier.
During her life, she worked many jobs, most notably as an accountant, pharmacy tech and housewife/mother (her favorite).
Kathryn was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Confederacy. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, beadwork, board games, cards, playing slot machines, genealogy and online Solitaire.
She was a beautiful, confident woman who lived life to the fullest and was respected and loved by all who knew her.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sequim. At her request, there will be no funeral. Kathryn was cremated and a private service will be held by the family at a later date.
