Charity was a daughter of Benjamin and Rebecca Ann (Martin) LeMasters. She was born 12 Nov 1791 in Nicholas County (W) Virginia. According to West Virginia Marriages, she married John G. Stephenson on 14 Mar 1811 in Kanawha County (W) Virginia. He was a son of Alexander and Sarah (Ewing) Stephenson. Charity died in Clay County on 08 Mar 1870. She was a widow at the time of her death, therefore her register of death, it was written that she was single. Also it was written her mother's name was Mary, this is incorrect.
