Mary was a daughter of Benjamin LeMasters and Rebecca Ann Martin. She was one of Ten daughters. She married James Clendenin Boggs on 27 Jan 1803 by James Johns in Kanawha County (West) Virginia. He was a son of Charles Francis Boggs and Mary 'Polly' Clendenin.

After James' death, Mary was found living with her Granddaughter, Mary Jane Boggs, in the 1850 Census, District No. 4, County of Braxton, State of Virginia, enumerated on the 6th day of Sept. states Mary Boggs 70, VA. Mary Jane Boggs 17., VA.

Mary died at the Old Mill in Pigeon Run on Braxton County, (W) Virginia.

Our Boggs Cousins donated money to pay for a new headstone for her and James.
