A fire occurred last night in the jewelry establishment of M.B. Knouse, at Monroeville. The extent of the damage is not as yet known.

M.B. Knouse, having in view the purchase of Fred Meyer's half interest in the tile factory, now owned and conducted by Branderberry and Meyers, he (Knouse) will offer for sale at public sale, at his farm in Madison township, two and a half miles west of this place, on Saturday, March 19, 1887 a number of fine young cattle, hogs, horses, sheep, milk cows and a number of other articles. John H. Ruhl having rented Mr. Knouse's farm.

KNOUSE
WABASH June 23- Michael B. Knouse, 87, a resident of the Peabody Memorial home at North Manchester, died at the Wabash County hospital today following an operation. He formerly lived in Fort Wayne, Warsaw and Monroeville where he followed his trade as an optician. Two children survive. Funeral services have not been arranged but burial will be at Monroeville.
