She married Jerome 'Jerry' Gwash on Dec. 8, 1951. She was the owner and operator of the Pic 'N' Pay for several years, and later was the manager at Subway in Virginia. She was also involved in charitable gambling and was a pull tab operator for the Red Cross. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; children: Mike Gwash, Clay (Sue) Gwash, Russ (Mary Jo) Gwash and Gary Gwash; grandchildren: Richard (Amanda Everett) Gwash, Becky Gwash, Lisa (Eric) Maki, Gary 'Junior' (Nina Long) Gwash, Kelsey Gwash and Shannon Gwash; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Lee (Joyce) Chesler, David (Shirley) Chesler, and Elaine 'Cookie' (John) Postudensek; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jimmy Chesler; and granddaughter, Jamie Lee.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia.
