Born in Greenwich, Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late William & Bertha (Wible) McAllister. Mrs. Wilson was a longtime member of Pittsgrove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a Girl Scout leader, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, and a member of the Bicycle club. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, and her pride and joy was her family.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children, Kenneth (Gail) Wilson, Bonnie Wilson, Marie (Bob) Wescott, and Dale (Joyce) Wilson; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, her brothers, Frank and Lester McAllister, and many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in 1987; her brothers, Charles, Lewis, Mel, and Russell; and her sisters, Bertha, Ann, Margaret, and Helen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 31st in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow the funeral service in Daretown Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Wilson’s memory may be made to Pittsgrove Baptist Church, 368 Daretown Rd., Elmer, NJ, 08318.
