Patsy R. Logan was Born Patsy R. Barge on July 14th, 1932 in Lufkin, Texas to Jesse Aaron Barge, Sr. and Ester MaGee. She was the youngest of four children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, J.A. Barge Jr., sister, Jesse Opal Creamer, and sister, Geraldine Barge.

After graduating high school, she enrolled in Sam Houston State University attaining a degree in Business Administration and a Texas State Teaching Certificate. She moved to Houston where she got a position in the HISD administrative offices. There, she met Roy A. (Corky) Logan where they married and remained so for 47 years until his death in 2002. During those years, Patsy and Roy managed the property in Lufkin that they referred to as “The Farm.” They were proud members of the Texas State Cattle Raisers Association.

Patsy was an avid lover of all animals and fed nearly any critter that came by her home. She donated to many animal causes. She was also a big supporter of our service men and women as well as our police and fire personnel via the 100 Club.

Patsy departed this world on October 26th, 2019 and is now reunited with her family and her beloved “Corky”. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Thorn, grand daughter, Kari Thorn, son-in-law, Terry Thorn and brother-in-law, Kenneth Logan. She is greatly missed by her family and friends.
