MAMIE ILA PRINGLE COLEMAN MARKHAM of Branford died Wednesday, June 22, 1983, at North Florida Regional Hospital after a long illness. She was 77.

Born in Bryceville, Fla., Mrs. Markham lived in the Lake Butler area for 42 years before moving to Branford five years ago. She was a housewife and a member of the McCall's Chapel United Methodist Church in Branford.

Survivors include four daughters, Lettie Deas of Jacksonville, Ellie Juanita Mikell of Branford, Wilma Allen of Lake Butler and Malovene Elrod of South Carolina; a brother L.L. Pringle of Sulphur LA; two sisters, Vinessa Barber of Los Angeles and Marie Mikell of Macclenny; and 16 grandchildren (Rita Yarbrough Waters) and 15 great-grandchildren (William Russell Hightower).
