Edna was the daughter of Thomas Chandler, who along with three of her brothers fought for the North in the 1861 - 65 Civil War. On Aug 15, 1846 she married Joseph Tibbetts. Of this union two children were born. Ella Rosabel Tibbetts on 22 Mar 1849 and Joseph Roswell Tibbetts on 26 Mar 1851. Her husband died of unknown causes on 19 Apr 1851 when he was only 27 years old. She married Charles Corson seven years later in 1858. Of this union six children were born. Lilla Frances, James B, Minnie F, Charles Leslie, Sarah Dora and Dora E. Her two children from her first marriage were raised under gardianship of someone else.
