Munson Paul "Papie" Babin was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a talented musician. He passed away at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age of 72. He was a retired supervisor with Kleinpeter Dairy Farms with 33 years of service and former employee of The State-Times with 22 years of service. He was a veteran of the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley P. Babin; two daughters, Kathy Babin, and Patti Tucker and husband Edwin; three sons, Randall Babin and wife Patsy, Scott Babin, and Faron Babin; four grandchildren, Dawn Fugarino and husband Robert, Amber Babin, Maegann Tucker, and Rochelle Pace; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Brennan Fugarino; a sister, Elia Thomassie; and brother, Janson Babin and wife Virgie.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Matilda and Octave Babin; brother, Dennis Babin; and sisters, Clara Thomassie and Angelina Lessard. He will sing in our hearts forever.
