Lee W. Bishop passed away unexpectedly at his Pleasant View Trailer Park Home on the morning of Dec. 9, 1974.
Born on Feb. 23, 1898 in Letterkenny Township, he was the son of Wesley and Catherine Forney Bishop. He was a member of the Salem United Brethren Church.
He was engaged in farming most of his early life. He had been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways and was a former Greene Township Supervisor.
Surviving are his widow Carrie F. Hoover Bishop, whom he married on January 4, 1916; son Garnet L. of Chambersburg; daughters Madeline (Mrs. Orville) Jeffrey of Interlachen, Florida; Hazel (Mrs. Jay E.) McCleary of R.R. 2, Doris (Mrs. Merle ) Yeager of R.R. 9; 9 grandchildren,; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Russell of Chambersburg and sisters Mrs. Mary Henry of Shippensburg, Mrs. Verna Rosenberry of Chambersburg and Annie (Mrs. Byran) Rosenberry of Chambersbsurg.
