DWIGHT JOSEPH BISHOP, 86, of 202A Taylor Ave., died Friday afternoon at Washington County Hospital. He was born in Chambersburg, Pa., a son of the late Wesley and Catherine Fahrney Bishop.

He had lived in Hagerstown for 60 years and was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Chewsville, and was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by his widow, Nellie Harshman Bishop, two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn James and Mrs. Yvonne Anthony, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Henry of Shippensburg, Pa., Mrs. Ora Pugh, Mrs. Verna Rosenberry and Mrs. Annie Rosenberry, all of Chambersburg; three brothers, Floyd Bishop, Russell Bishop and lee Bishop, all of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Norment Funeral Home with the Rev. John Schildt officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
