Father of C. L. Askew Succumbs in Seattle

Samuel C. Askew,77, Puyallup, Wash., father of C. L. Askew, 816 Ninth St. died Monday at 9 a.m., in a Seattle hospital.
Mr. Askew had been in poor health for the past six months.
He is survived by six sons and four daughters. His wife preceded him in death.
Survivors, in addition to his son here are Charles B. Askew, Fargo, formerly with Northwestern Bell Telephone here; Joseph Askew, Fargp; Keith Askew and Mrs. Wallace P. Grosvenor, both of San Anselmo, Calif.; Harold Askew, Harry Askew, and Mrs. Lester Hudson, all of Puyallup, and Mrs. George Kolhammer and Mrs. William Lind, both of Seattle.
Mr. Askew farmed in Cass County until 1932. He joined the state and was stationed with the department in Fargo until 1043. He moved to Puyallup that year where he was in the race horse business until the time of death.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at Puyallup and interment will be made there.
