Ann Angell Lane

Ann Angell Lane died Sunday at her residence at 1435 W. Plumb Lane following a lengthy illness. She was 65.

Mrs. Lane, a housewife, was born Oct. 26, 1911 in Portis, Kan. She was a Reno resident for 20 years. Her husband, Bert, recently retired, was ranching superintendent for many years for the late E. L. Cord.

She was a graduate of Kansas State College at Hays, Kan. and was a member of St. John's Presbyterian Church in Reno, PEO Chapter F and the Nevada Cowbelles.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Gaye Delaplane, and sons Steve Lane and Mike L. Lane, all of Reno; sisters, Elizabeth Dutton of Alhambra, Calif., Lula Anderson of Portis; Viola Schoen of Smith Center, Kan. Gertrude Firebaugh, Boulder, Colo.; brothers, Elmer Angell of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Paul Angell of Downs, Kan; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Walton's Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1070 W. Plumb Lane.
