Excerpt -- age 58, of 830 17th St., SW, wife of Charles E. Shakespeare, died today in Cedar Rapids Hospital, following a long illness. Formerly of Tulsa, Okla., she had been a Cedar Rapids resident for 25 years. Born June 22, 1919 in West Virginia, she was married to Mr. Shakespeare on Sept. 17, 1952, at Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Shakespeare was employed by the Roosevelt Hotel for 11 years and by Johnny's Parkway for several years. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Staff Sgt. Clifton Shakespeare, Germany; three sisters, Ora Fuller, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Rhea Baileys, Tulsa, Okla.; and Madeline Baileys of Texas; three brothers, Donald Baileys, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Clifford Baileys and Chester Baileys, both of Texas. Arrangements are pending at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Cemetery.
