KATHLEEN SHERMAN LANGLEY

Mrs. Kathleen Sherman (Tookie) Langley passed away on 21 Jan 2021, at her home.

Tookie was born in LaFayette, AL to the late Ken Sherman and the late Annie Mae Sherman. She was a member of the LaFayette First Baptist Church.

She lived in Colorado Springs where she was employed at Doenges Long as a bookkeeper, later she was employed at International Playtex as a receptionist and later employed at the Chambers County Probate Office where she retired as Chief Clerk of the Probate office.

She enjoyed playing dominoes with her sweet group of ladies at the LaFayette Library.

Tookie is survived by her 2 Sons Billy McKinley Langley (Carla) and Kim Thomas Langley. She is survived by 2 Grandchildren Kelly Poole (Pat), Heather McLeod (Casey) and 5 Great-Grandchildren Landon, Kate and Kollins Poole and Maggie and Macy McLeod.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Jack Thomas Langley and her sister Jacqueline Harding.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, 24 Jan 2021 at 2 p.m. at the LaFayette City Cemetery with Rev Scott Ferguson and Rev Kevin Calhoun officiating.

We respectfully ask for you to wear your mask at all times.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to LaFayette First Baptist Church 201 LaFayette Street South, LaFayette, Alabama 36862.

We would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Betty Ballard and Bessie Avery and to the love and care they gave to Tookie.
