Russell W. Unangst, 81, of 1544 Allen St., Allentown, died Saturday in Allentown Hospital, where he had been admitted Friday night. Born in Lower Saucon Township, he was a son of the late M. Samuel and Emma A. (Wasser) Unangst. He was married to the former Eva A. Billman. He was a retired mechanic. Surviving with his widow are two sons, Russell B., Mertztown; and Franklin F., Liverpool, N.Y.; three daughters, Doris, wife of Thomas Bechtel, Syracuse, N.Y.; Betty, wife of Stanley Knoll, at home; and Geraldine, wife of Norman Smith, Allentown; a brother, Frank H., Newportville, Bucks County; a sister, Mrs. Agnes L. Eschbach, Bethlehem; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Trexler Funeral home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. There will be no viewing.
