EVERGREEN FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY – 2019
Claudia Ann Handzel, of Louisville, 69, passed away March 16, 2019 peacefully at her home. She was a member of Saint Stephan Martyr Church. Claudia attended Eastern Kentucky University and was currently retired at the time of her passing. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas C. Jr. Alvey and Beatrice R. Alvey and her brother, Thomas C. Alvey III. Left to cherish Claudia and her memory are her daughters, Amanda Castillo with fiancé Garry Ely, Magan & Shawn Cannon, and Mellissa Handzel; her sister, Connie & Steve Cecil (and nephew, Andy); brother, Russell Alvey; her niece, Sueann & Thomas Dodson (and children Tyler, Alaina, Clay); and, finally, her beloved dog, Lucy along with many close friends and extended family members. There will be no services, per Claudia’s request. Her daughters and family appreciate your condolences and blessings during this difficult time.
