Mineral Point- Mr. Howard F. Cassidy, age 74, of Waldwick, died at a Dodgeville hospital late Wednesday, July 11, 1979, after a short illness. He was born near Mineral Point and was married to the former Vera Ferrell in 1925. They farmed in the Waldwick area until retiring to the Village of Waldwick in 1954. His wife preceded him in death in 1978. Mr. Cassidy was a member of the Waldwick Methodist Church, the Waldwick Town Board, the Argyle Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Shriners.
Surviving are three sons, Vearnus, and Kenneth, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Jerry of Mineral Point; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 14, at 11 am at the Waldwick Methodist Church. Friends may call after 4 pm on Friday at the Gorgen Funeral Home in Mineral Point.
