Wanda Garner Flynn-Stone, 90 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.

Wanda was born in Somerset, Kentucky on August 20th, 1929, daughter of the late Winnie Lee Burgin Smith. Wanda was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She was of the Baptist faith and is missed by all who knew and loved her.

Wanda was survived by two sons, Jaimie (and Brenda) Stone and Earl (and Nona) Stone; three grandchildren, Josh Stone, Ben Stone, and Jeremy Stone; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Smith, who departed this life on January 31st, 1988; her husband, Earl Roy Stone, whom she married in Abilene, Kansas on July, 30th, 1954 and who departed this life on June 29th, 1993 in Colorado Springs, Colorado; one son, Gary Stone; one brother, Frankie Garner; and two sisters, Aurelia Sharp and Ethetna Berlencourt.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 noon on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at the Mill Springs National Cemetery with Bro. Lowell Gossett officiating.

The Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky was in charge of the arrangements for Wanda.
