MIDFIELD - Ethel Leona Nivens Magee, 90, of Midfield, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004.

She was born March 18, 1913, in Parnell, to the late William Thomas and Addie Gertrude Butler Nivens. She was a retired cafeteria employee of Tidehaven I.S.D.

Survivors: daughters, Marlene Tolleson of Blessing and Bertie Louise Lackey of Fort Worth; son, Carrol Dean Magee of Francitas; sister, Verta Ree Ayers of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, George Emery Magee; stepdaughter, Mary Jeannette Summersill; sister, Dora Arnold; brothers, Wes Nivens, Ben Nivens, Loyd "Bud" Nivens, and Doice Nivens; and one grandson.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Darrell Tomasek officiating.

Burial will be at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing. Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, 979-245-4613.
