She was born in Lakeview, Texas on March 13, 1934. She was married to Albert Jonietz for 42 years. Venita dedicated her life to sacrificially care for her family.
She was a member of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, had a passion for painting, and travelled internationally with various art clubs. She loved music and loved to sing.
Venita is preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Erma Lee Phillips; husband, Albert Jonietz; brothers, Wayburn and Bill Phillips; and granddaughter, Joy Ruth Barnett. She is survived by daughter, Sonja Manning; daughter, Vickie Sullivan and husband Jim; son, Kevin Barnett and wife Cathy; daughter, Lisa Hemenway; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at Sparkman Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.
