Rev. James Maurice Alexander, 90, husband of the late Jane Marcengill Alexander, of Walhalla, passed away, October 6, 2019, at Cottingham Hospice House.

A native of Oconee County, SC, Rev. Alexander was the son of the late Thomas P. and Bessie Smith Alexander. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Anda-Ka Industries. Rev. Alexander was the former Pastor of Little River Baptist Church and a current member of Walhalla First Baptist Church.

Rev. Alexander is survived by Donna James and Dena Smith.

In addition to his wife and parents, Rev. Alexander was preceded in death by his brothers: Marvin Clayton Alexander, T.E. "Gene" Alexander, Roy Smith Alexander, William "Bill" Alexander and Guy Alexander; and sisters: Edith McCall and Mae Weston.
